Task 01 - Reduced Listening
Ok people this is my first attempt at the reduced listening task. The concept behind it is pretty simple. I have taken an everyday recognizable sound (sheep bah) and transformed it into something unrecognisable by changing the sonic qualities of the sound. The same sound material is used throughout, but simply repeated and then treated heavily using various dsp effects in Logic and cross fading between each region. Each region is simply changing a sonic quality slightly using the automation in Logic Pro. This gives the illusion that the sound is transforming, but what is really happening is that the same piece of audio is simply copied and pasted throughout and then automated differently in each region to create flowing transformation.
